Fraternity & Sorority Life

The Franklin Square group of college and university presidents stated:

"A thriving Greek [sic] community can enhance student learning and leadership, build strong ties between the institution and its future alumni, and develop well-rounded students who value community and citizenship. The ability of higher education and fraternal headquarters to hold Greek communities accountable to their stated values can positively transform the student culture. In addition to eliminating negative behaviors, healthy Greek organizations can support and develop positive student outcomes" (p. 4)

Experience the four pillars of Leadership, Scholarship, Friendship, and Service.  Students looking for brotherhood and sisterhood that continues beyond the college experience can explore joining one of sixty-one (61) recognized chapters on campus.

In the interests of safety, and in order to ensure that everyone will enjoy the 112th Big Game with Stanford, the University wants to make you are aware of some important information before the action
on the field begins.

1. Cal student ticket holders will enter the Stanford Stadium at Gate 7.
2. Due to increased security screening, it is recommended that you plan to arrive early. Gates will open at 2:30 p.m. Remember to bring your game ticket and current Cal ID. Please be aware that you may not loan or borrow another student’s Cal ID.
3. Please be aware that all persons and packages entering the Stanford Stadium are subject to search. The following items are PROHIBITED from being brought into the stadium:

· Backpacks
· Banners, signs, and poles
· Coolers or Bags larger than 12”x12”12”
· Bikes, roller blades, or skateboards
· Weapons and any dangerous items

damage, and alcohol violations.

Please do not engage in “pranks” or other activities that may require the attention of police or public safety officials – such activities may needlessly distract these officials and prevent them from
responding to more pressing matters. Think before you act!

Thank you for your support and cooperation. Enjoy the Big Game and GO BEARS!
