* Final referendum election results are subject to resolution of any formal complaints submitted to the Election Manager before expiration of the complaint period on March 2, 2006, as well as formal approval by the Chancellor once the Student Fee Referendum Committee submits final results to the Chancellor.
On February 21, 22, and 23, 2006, all registered Berkeley students had the option to vote on two mandatory student fee proposals. This is the official nonpartisan Web site for the fee referenda, offering information about the upcoming election and neutral analysis of the proposed Class Pass and Career Center fees.
The Class Pass Fee was proposed to renew a mandatory fee to allow registered students to take unlimited rides on AC Transit buses (including Transbay lines to San Francisco and the Peninsula) and Bear Transit campus shuttles (excluding the Richmond Field Station lines).
The Career Center Fee was proposed to enable Berkeley's Career Center to move from its current off-campus location to a newly renovated building across the street from Lower Sproul Plaza by August 2006, by paying exclusively for a ten-year lease at the building.
