The Center for Student Leadership, in partnership with Cal Adventures, offers 4-hour ropes course experiences at discounted rates for registered student organizations. Imagine climbing forty-feet in the air to navigate a suspended element while your entire organization is cheering you on from the ground...In just 4-hours, trained staff and student facilitators will lead your organization through activities designed to increase communication, develop trust, and bring your organization closer together. Please complete and submit this form at least 10 working days in advance of your requested event date to Amanda Carlton at acarlton@berkeley.edu. Once the Request Form is received, your organization will be contaced for more information and confirmation of course availability.

Availability
Event availability is dependent on the availability of both the ropes course and staff facilitators. Please fill out the Teambuilding in the Trees Request Form and submit it to Amanda Carlton at acarlton@berkeley.edu. Upon receipt of this request form, our staff will contact the appropriate individuals to determine if we are able to facilitate your event on your requested date.

What to Expect
*The ropes course is located at the Strawberry Canyon Recreation Area and is managed by Cal Adventures. The Strawberry Canyon Recreation Area is on Centennial Drive, just east of Memorial Stadium (Map: http://www.berkeley.edu/map/maps/large_map.html). There is a permit parking lot directly adjacent to the Recreation Area that costs $12 per day, unless you have the appropriate permit.
*The Center for Student Leadership & Cal Adventures provide all equipment necessary for the high and low ropes course elements, including harnesses, helmets, and other necessary safety equipment.
*Participants should dress comfortably, as all will be engaging in a highly-interactive event. Sneakers, tennis shoes, or other closed-toe athletic shoes are required. No sandals are allowed.
*Organizations are highly encouraged to bring snacks and water for their members.
*All participants are required to sign a liability waiver that will be distributed and collected by the Center for Student Leadership. Individuals that do not sign this waiver will not be allowed to participate.
