Participants of the program will:

Gain personal insight through an exploration of one's leadership style, constructing a personal leadership philosophy, and learning how to design and implement a personal development plan

Expand one’s core leadership skills through active participation in experiential workshops, retreats, one-on-one leadership coaching, and a leadership conference. Participants will put theory into practice by collaborating in small groups to design and execute a social justice project.

Develop cross-cultural competency by participating in small cohort dialogues in which participants explore the relationship between one’s salient social identity and one’s personal values. With this increased awareness, participants will have new insights on how they can create a more inclusive community.

Reflect on their experiences and interactions as they think critically about the responsibilities of leaders in today’s increasingly diverse and interconnected society and how they can work towards social justice.

"I began to realize that leadership is more than just the individual, it involves communication, listening, teamwork, organization, motivation and enthusiasm, and knowing how to work with others and respect them. There can more than one leader, and a group can be very strong with more than one leader."

 - Ilana Rieser, 2008
