Events & Programs

The staff and interns of LGBT Programs & Services plan and promote numerous lectures, discussions and workshops each semester. In the past we have hosted speakers such as, authors Kate Bornstien and Thomas Glave, and forums on Queer Japan and Lesbian Pulp Fiction.

We also sponsor a number of events during National Coming Out Week (held each October) and Gender and Sexual Identity Awareness Days (held in April). Each year LGBT Programs hosts Cal Rainbow Pride, a fall welcome event and each spring we cosponsor the Lavender End of Year Celebration (celebrating LGBTIQ graduates).
