Program Description
Oakland Community Builders is a service-learning course for students interested in expanding their academic learning through social action. This faculty sponsored DECal course is complemented by internship placements with Bay Area grassroots community organizations working to alleviate poverty and other injustices.
For student participants these this course provides connections to the greater Bay Area community while joining academic content to reflection sessions, films, guest speakers, and student presentations about prominent social issues.

How to Get Involved
Complete an application. Visit 505 Eshleman, contact us (see below), or during the start of each semester attend an info session or look for our table on Upper Sproul or in the dining halls.
