Graduate AmeriCorps Internship Network (GAIN) is a Cal Corps sponsored AmeriCorps educational award only program co-sponsored by California Campus Compact. The GAIN program aims to provide financial support to students engaged in meaningful service-based internships as a part of their graduate studies in the UC Berkeley School of Social Welfare.
As a California Campus Compact Students in Service program, GAIN meets critical community needs by engaging higher education students in service, and fostering within them an ethic of civic responsibility. With rising tuition costs, and competing interests, GAIN strives to make service a viable opportunity for these first-year graduate students.
