Working as a student is an excellent opportunity to develop critical leadership and career skills while committing yourself to a valuable service experience. There are a number of campus and community resources for finding a great service-related job.

Designing Your Own Internship:
- Consider what type of work you'd like to be doing. Is the internship going to relate to your academic work, career goals, or service commitments?
- Identify potential internship sites using our placement database.
- Meet with a faculty member who can advise you during your internship, help you identify quality reading and reflection opportunities, and serve as your sponsor for academic credit.
- Develop a reflection journal during your internship to keep track of your successes, what you've learned, and how you were challenged.
