Detailed Selection Criteria
Deadline: Tuesday, November 22, 2005
The IAP Office must receive the enclosed application by Tuesday, November 22, 2005. Please check with your High School Coordinator for your high school internal deadline. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. This folder is yours to keep, do not return to High School Coordinator. Please do not staple pages:
- Part I - Personal Data Form
- Part II - Financial Eligibility Form
- Part III - Essay Questions
- Part IV - Two (2) Letters of Recommendation
- Part V - Copy of UC Berkeley on-line or paper application and UC Personal Statement
- Part VI - 7th Semester Grade Report
Deadline: Wednesday, November 30, 2005
In addition to the Incentive Awards Application, students must apply separately to the University of California, Berkeley, by Wednesday, November 30, 2005. The application filing period is from November 1-30, 2005. To apply on-line, visit www.ucop.edu/pathways/ or to request a paper application, email apprequest@ucop.edu.
Additionally, students must take the following required exams by December 2005 to be eligible for UC Admission: EITHER the ACT Assessment Plus Writing or the new SAT Reasoning Test AND two (2) SAT Subject Tests. For more information regarding the new examination requirement, please see your High School Coordinator or visit www.collegeboard.com.
Deadline: Tuesday, February 1, 2006
Submit to IAP a copy of the 2006-2007 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by Tuesday, February 1, 2005, in the enclosed envelope. Note that this is earlier than the March 2, deadline required of other UC Berkeley applicants. List the University of California, Berkeley (Title IV Code= 001312) as a college to which a report should be sent.
Submit to IAP a copy of your fall semester grades by submitting the 7th Semester Grade Report in the enclosed envelope.
If selected as a scholarship recipient, IAP may retract scholarship if it determines that there is missing or incorrect financial information in student application.
Scholar Conduct and Loss of Scholarship
All scholars are required to adhere to UC Berkeley and IAP Student Conduct Policy. Any violation of the Student Conduct Policy may result in revocation of the IAP Scholarship.
