A Scholarship Program That Changes Lives

The Incentive Awards Program (IAP) provides a $32,000 scholarship award, and student support services to low-income students who have demonstrated leadership potential, high academics, and a commitment to serve others.

IAP reaches out to first-generation college students who have overcome great socioeconomic disadvantages through its partnerships with 49 Northern California high schools, and 22 Los Angeles high schools through its Pre-Collegiate Academy.

Calendar of Events

IAP Preliminary Form
Deadline: Check with your counselor for your high school deadline
Submit IAP Preliminary Application and a copy of 2007-2008 FAFSA to your High School Counselor.

IAP Nominee Application
Deadline: Wednesday, November 21, 2007
The 5 nominees must submit IAP Nominee Application and apply for UC Berkeley admission.

SAT/ACT Testing
Deadline: December 2007
Must take EITHER the SAT Reasoning Test or ACT Assessment plus Writing AND two (2) SAT Subject Tests in two different areas.

FAFSA Application
Deadline: Friday, February 1, 2008
The 5 nominees must submit the 2008-2009 Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA).
