How to Do a Budget Appeal

You are allowed to submit a request to increase the size of your standard budget for certain expenses that are above the standard amounts :

• The cost of your rent and utilities or the cost of your University Residence Hall.
• The cost of purchasing a computer, but you can only request this once every three years.
• The cost of uninsured medical, dental, or optical expenses.
• Child care

The Budget Appeal Form goes into detail into which expenses can be claimed. This form is available on our forms page. However, it may take several weeks before it will be reviewed.
