UC Berkeley Chancellor Robert J. Birgeneau testified before the Senate Education Committee in Sacramento on behalf of the California Dream Act and commended Governor Jerry Brown on signing the bills, as well as Assemblyman Gil Cedillo for authoring them. "California has taken the lead in helping to reframe the national conversation on investing in undocumented students who can contribute to the economic and social vitality of California.
