Granting Access to MyFinAid
Did you know that you can give your parents, spouse, or guardian access to view your MyFinAid information? Log on to MyFinAid, choose the Grant Access to MyFinAid link from the left menu bar, and follow the instructions on the Grant Access to MyFinAid screen to authorize other people (such as your parents, spouse, or guardian) to log on to your MyFinAid account and view your financial aid information.
Please note that giving your parents, spouse, or guardian access to your records on MyFinAid does not give Financial Aid and Scholarships Office staff permission to discuss your financial aid with these individuals in person, by telephone, or by email. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law that protects the privacy of student records and prohibits University staff from disclosing certain information to parents or other individuals without the permission of the student.
If you would like to give Financial Aid and Scholarships Office staff permission to talk with your parents, spouse, or guardian in person, by telephone, or by email about your financial aid, please complete a separate authorization, called a "FERPA Authorization," accessible from the Forms link in the left menu bar of MyFinAid.
