UC Berkeley Summer Sessions
The Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) Summer Sessions offers enrollment and a special EAOP discussion section for highly prepared EAOP students during the summer between their junior and senior years. EAOP and UC Berkeley Summer Sessions cover the cost of registration and course fees. Students are responsible for the cost of transportation and books. Financial support for public transportation and books will be available to students who qualify.
UC Berkeley Summer Sessions courses are extremely rigorous. They are regular college courses taught by UC professors/lecturers and attended by UC undergraduates. They are also fifteen-week classes compressed into six or eight weeks. For this reason, participation is open only to current juniors who possess a minimum 3.5 weighted GPA in A-G coursework and have demonstrated maturity and leadership in their high school years.
The 2009 Summer Sessions courses available to EAOP students are:
Earth & Planetary Sciences
Ethnic Studies
Statistics
Summer Sessions 2009 Brochure
Book and Public Transportation Subsidy Application
All summer program applications must be received by EAOP coordinaators no later than March 19th, 2009.
Please email or call your EAOP coordinator with any questions.
