Mission Statement:
Working in partnership with local schools, school districts and communities, the Center for Educational Partnerships improves academic achievement and expands post-secondary educational opportunities for students who face significant barriers to college.

Background:
Our diverse programs help young people overcome educational and financial barriers to prepare for and be accepted at two- or four-year colleges.  Ten programs provide services free-of-charge to at least twenty two thousand students at 30 schools and 30 community colleges each year. We also provide an impressive range of summer programs that give hundreds of students academic enrichment while they experience campus life at Cal.

We use a combined strategy of individual student services in cohort programs and systemic change to build college-going cultures in schools and districts by serving teachers, counselors, administrators and families. More than ninety percent of high school seniors in our programs go on to college – and they are often the first in their family to do it.

Location:
The Center for Educational Partnerships - part of UC Berkeley’s Office of Equity & Inclusion - is located at 2150 Kittredge Street in downtown Berkeley.
